Tender/Contract Reference No: 8725723: Section 2: Obigarm – Nurobod road section

Scope Of Contract: The Permanent Works include construction of a section of CAREC Corridors 2,3 and 5 between Obigarm and Nurobod, (“the Project Road”) from km 30+217 to km 75+600, less the section which runs from km 72+900 to km 74+303 (Section 3), and the temporary long bridge with its approaches, including 7 bridges and 1 tunnel, and all associated works.

The Project Road will be constructed to Category III standard as a two lane asphalt concrete paved road.

The bridge works include the construction of 6 new bridges and the rehabilitation of one existing bridge.

The tunnel works, a total length of 2.6 km, are in hard rock requiring excavation by drilling and blasting. Tunnel related works include the construction and relocation of 10 kVA transmission lines (2.95 km), and 0.4 kVA distribution lines (2.1km) to provide power to the tunnel and to provide lighting along the road corridor (11.8 km).
