1. Funding Details

The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from/grant administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) towards the cost of the above named project.

Additional financing information:
A sovereign loan of up to EUR 8 million to the Borrower, on-lent to four cities for the benefit of four water companies in the cities of (1) Kadamzhai; (2) Tash-Komur; (3) Kok-Jangak; and (4) Aidarken. The Sub-projects will be co-financed by up to EUR 8 million in investment grants from multilateral or bilateral donors. The TC Support of EUR 2.60 million in also included in the investment plan.

2. Information on the Project

Project Description:
The Project will address water infrastructure needs in the Cities of Kadamzhai, Tash-Komur, Kok-Jangak and Aidarken. The Project will consist of rehabilitation of water and wastewater infrastructure; building of pump stations and clean water reservoirs, water intake and treatment facilities; introducing household metering; and modernisation of operational and maintenance equipment, as well as selected rehabilitation of wastewater infrastructure in one of the four Cities, namely Kadamzhai.

Contracts will be subject to the Bank's Procurement Policies and Rules and are open for participation for firms from any country, unless otherwise specified in the procurement documents.
