The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from, or Grant administered by, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development ('the Bank') for the above named project. Additional financing details are as follows:

EBRD Shareholder Special Fund

Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from/ grant administered by the Bank and will be open to firms from any country.


The client now invites tenders for the above mentioned contract(s). Additional description is as follows:

- One (1) Real Time - Polymerase Chain Reaction System with following basic specifications: 96-well, 0.2 mL, 6 coupled filters for optical detection, 470-700 nm excitation/detection range, three independent temperature zones with a personal computer, laser printer and an uninterruptable power supply;
- Three (3) Real Time - Polymerase Chain Reaction System with following basic specifications: 96-well, 0.2 mL, 4 coupled filters for optical detection, 470-700 nm excitation/detection range a personal computer, laser printer and an uninterruptable power supply;
- Consumables for at least 5000 RT-PCR tests that can be used by the above listed Real Time - Polymerase Chain Reaction Systems.


The contract is expected to start on 10/04/2017 and last about 3 months.

The proceeds of the loan from/ grant administered by the Bank will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, of for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law of official regulation of the Client's country.

Other Information:In the context of a joint FAO-EBRD project that aim at improving local capacity of public-private stakeholders in Ukraine to mitigate risk associated with African Swine Fever (ASF) spread in Ukraine, the State Scientific and Research Institute of Laboratory Diagnostics and Veterinary and Sanitary Expertise of Ukraine (the Executing Agency) intends using various funds made available by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the EBRD or the Bank) and the EBRD Shareholder Special Fund to procure specialised equipment to local and central laboratories which are owned by the State in order to strengthen their capacity of ASF identification through Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) analysis/tests.
