1. Funding Details

The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from/grant administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) towards the cost of the above named contract(s).

Additional financing information:
Works will be solely financed from the EBRD loan.

2. Information on the Procurement Exercise

Contracts will be subject to the Bank's Procurement Policies and Rules and are open for participation for firms from any country, unless otherwise specified in the procurement documents.

The type of procurement and the procurement method is stated above. A full description of the procurement exercise is available within the documentation and available free of charge on ECEPP.

The documentation will include such information as: detailed technical and financial requirements; any information on lots; the expected outcome; eligibility and qualification requirements; contract start date; planned contract duration; any response requirements; any other relevant information.

This procurement exercise will be conducted using the EBRD Client E-Procurement Portal (ECEPP). The Contractor is expected to perform all Works from km 128+426.00 to km 152+769.23 in accordance with the Main Design provided by the Client.

The civil works will consist of (but shall not be limited to) the following:
* Preliminary works which include removal of excessive vegetative material and waste, demolition of existing pavement construction, demolition and removal of concrete edge concrete shoulder;
* Substructure works which include topsoil excavation, formation of subsoil, construction of gravel core and stabilized shoulders, landscaping of subgrade, wide excavation, excavation of trenches, construction of gravel embankments, topsoiling of slopes;
* Superstructure works which include pavement construction on road, roundabout, pedestrian paths BUS station, accesses roads, rest areas; works on improvement of pavement (construction of sub-base of crushed stone material, construction of bituminous bearing course, and construction of wearing asphalt concrete course), as well as placement of concrete curbs and construction of gutters;
* Works on structures (bridges, new and existing walls and pipe and box culverts) which include milling of the existing asphalt layer, construction or replacement of waterproofing, construction of asphalt layers (levelling course if needed, wearing course, asphalt layer on sidewalk), demolition and replacement of the curbs, repair or replacement of the bearing paths, repair or replacement of the expansion devices, repair of the protective layers, bridge drainage, repair of fences and guardrails, regulation of hydraulic watercourse profile in the bridge area and any other works if specified by the Main Design;
* Works on drainage system improvement which include, installation of drainage pipes, installation of manholes, gullies;
* Roadside arrangement and placement of traffic signalization and road furniture.

The Works will be performed under traffic with a strong emphasis on maintaining safe conditions for both the flow of traffic and the works in progress.

The contract is expected to last about 18 months.
