2. Information on the Project

Project Description:
The project finance an expansion of capacity of the Shalkiya underground zinc mine located in Kyzylorda region of the Republic of Kazakhstan and build a processing plant with the annual production of 4 mln tons, at the mine site.

The proposed project will require the procurement of the following goods, works and services for:
1. PMC, Technical Supervision and Implementation of SAP
2. Mining Works
3. Process Engineering (Selection, Supply and Installation Supervision of Process Equipment with Process Guarantee)
4. Supply of Mining Equipment
5. Construction of Ore Processing Plant
6. Construction of Overstructures and Infrastructure
7. Construction of Tailing Storage

Contracts will be subject to the Bank's Procurement Policies and Rules and are open for participation for firms from any country, unless otherwise specified in the procurement documents.

Procurement under this project will be conducted using the EBRD Client E-Procurement Portal (ECEPP).
