General Procurement Notice

1. Funding Details

The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from/grant administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) towards the cost of the above named project.

Additional financing information:
EUR 75 million sovereign-guaranteed loan to ONAS to co-finance a EUR 150 million programme to rehabilitate and upgrade the sanitation network in up to 33 Tunisian cities of less than 10,000 inhabitants, alongside AfDB and the Government of Tunisia (“GoT”). 2.9 million Euro for Technical Assistance will be financed by the EBRD Administered Grant.

2. Information on the Project

Project Description:
The Project will upgrade and rehabilitate sanitation network of up to 33 Tunisian cities of less than 10,000 inhabitants. The EBRD is providing a loan to the Office National de l'Assainissement ("ONAS") to cofinance an EUR 160 million programme to rehabilitate and upgrade the sanitation network in up to 35 small cities (less than 10,000 inhabitants) in Tunisia alongside the African Development Bank ("AfDB") and the Tunisian Government. This loan of up to EUR 66.5 million will benefit from a guarantee from the Republic of Tunisia.
