1. Funding Details

The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from/grant administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) towards the cost of the above named contract(s).

Additional financing information:
Javna Ustanova Kantonalna Bolnica Zenica (the Employer), and Zenica-Doboj Canton as the founder of the Employer have applied for a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (“EBRD” or “the Bank”) and an investment grant from the EBRD Regional Energy Efficiency Programme (“REEP”) towards the cost of Kantonalna Bolnica Zenica (Cantonal Hospital in Zenica) Energy Efficiency Project.

Tendering for contracts to be financed with the proceeds of the EBRD loan and REEP grant is open to firms from all countries. The proceeds of the EBRD loan and REEP grant will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations.

2. Information on the Procurement Exercise

Contracts will be subject to the Bank's Procurement Policies and Rules and are open for participation for firms from any country, unless otherwise specified in the procurement documents.

The type of contract and the procurement method is stated above. A full description of the procurement exercise is available within the documentation and is available free of charge in ECEPP.

The documentation will include such information as: detailed technical and financial requirements; any information on lots; the expected outcome; eligibility and qualification requirements; contract start date; planned contract duration; any response requirements; any other relevant information.

3. Other Information
Reconstruction of the Cantonal Hospital in Zenica according to energy efficiency (EE) principles, including but not necessarily limited to the following:

- Development of design and technical documentation for the listed construction and installation works;
- Reconstruction of waste and storm water drainage system;
- Construction of approx. 2,800 m² of the new area (upgrade of one floor approx. 1,835 m² and extension i.e. construction of the
new building approx. 960 m²);
- Removal of asbestos sheets from roofs of hospital buildings;
- Improvement of thermal performances of the building envelope of the existing buildings (joinery, roofs and external walls);
- Installation of a new boiler house with the boilers that will use LPG as fuel in the period up to connection to the natural gas grid,
and an extra light fuel oil that will be used as a fuel reserve for both fuels;
- Installation of a steam boiler for kitchen and sterilizers;
- Construction and reconstruction of the heat distribution system;
- Installation of modern ventilation and cooling system in all hospital departments;
- Installation of a new equipment in the laundry room;
- Removing the existing boiler room, equipment in it, and the existing chimney.
