2. Information on the Project

Project Description:
In December 2022, EBRD extended an additional loan financing of €100 million to Société Nador West Med (NWM) for the construction of the Nador West Med port in the Oriental Region of Morocco. The loan is a new, second tranche under a €200 million EBRD loan agreement signed in 2015 to finance the constructions works of NWM port.
The EBRD is extending a technical cooperation package of €1 million to conduct relevant studies in relation with (i) NWM’s transition from the construction phase to the operation phase, (ii) NWM’s potential role in the hydrogen value chain and (iii) skills-development in the industrial port sector.
