General Procurement Notice

1. Funding Details

The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from/grant administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) towards the cost of the above named project.

Additional financing information:
EBRD loan - EUR 160 million, EIB loan - EUR 160 million, Ukraine/Client co-financing - EUR 63.67 million, donor technical cooperation grants - EUR 0.25 million


2. Information on the Project

Project Description:
The Government of Ukraine has signed loan financing agreements with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and European Investment Bank (EIB) for a project to extend a metro (subway) line in the City of Kharkiv. The proposed project, which has a total estimated cost of approximately EUR 382.27 million equivalent will be implemented by Kharkivsky Metropoliten Communal Enterprise (Kharkiv Metro Company) and will require the procurement of the following contracts:
- Extension of the existing metro line by 3.47 km and construction of 2 metro stations
- Construction of new metro wagon depot and connecting rail
- Acquisition of new rolling stock
- Corporate Development and Public Service Contract Preparation Support

Notes on other contracts:
- FIDIC Engineer and Procurement and Implementation Support Consultant - contract signed.
