General Procurement Notice

1. Funding Details

The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from/grant administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) towards the cost of the above named project.

Additional financing information:
"North-South Road Corridor Investment Program" is a major infrastructure project which aims at connecting the Southern border of the country with its Northern point by means of 556 km-long Meghri- Yerevan - Bavra highway of high international standards

2. Information on the Project

Project Description:
The Project will support Armenia’s economic development and bring operational efficiency from improved regional infrastructure, and aims to: (i) reduce the travel distance on the section from the current 123 km to 65-70 km and (ii) decrease travel time from current 3 hours to estimated 1.5 hours. In this way, the Project is expected to facilitate passenger and cargo traffic from the southern border to the northern border of Armenia on the extended TEN-T corridor and a key Europe-Asia transit route, promote regional and international trade and provide opportunities for local economic development.
