The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from/grant administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) towards the cost of the above named contract(s).

2. Information on the Procurement Exercise
Contracts will be subject to the Bank's Procurement Policies and Rules and are open for participation for firms from any country, unless otherwise specified in the procurement documents.
The type of contract and the procurement method is stated above. A full description of the procurement exercise is available within the documentation and is available free of charge in ECEPP.
The documentation will include such information as: detailed technical and financial requirements; any information on lots; the expected outcome; eligibility and qualification requirements; contract start date; planned contract duration; any response requirements; any other relevant information.

INVITATION FOR TENDERS
This Invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice for this project which was published on the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) - EBRD website 16.02.2015, and the updated General Procurement Notice (Procurement Ref. 9587-GPN-45987) is published on 28.02.2020 on the EBRD website.
Public Enterprise for State Roads hereinafter referred to as the Employer, intends using part of the proceeds of a loan from the Bank towards the cost of the above cited project.
The Employer now invites sealed tenders from contractors for the following contract to be funded from part of the proceeds of the loan:
Completion of the outstanding works on Rehabilitation with a widening of Motorway A1, section Petrovec – Katlanovo (left and right carriageway), after the Contract termination in September 2021. This road section is divided in tree subsections according to the type of the Works:
- Rehabilitation with widening of the Motorway A 1, section Petrovec - Katlanovo (left carriageway), from km 23+281,13 to km 28+460, 76 in total length of 5,18 km.
- Rehabilitation of the Motorway A 1, section Petrovec - Katlanovo (right carriageway), from km 37+046,94 to km 41+798,92 (total length of 4,75 km) and
- Rehabilitation with widening of the Motorway A 1, section Petrovec - Katlanovo (right carriageway), from km 41+798,92 to km 42+618,82 (total length of 0,82 km).
The left and the right carriageway shall be widened up to the full motorway cross section with width of 10.75m, where the design foresees construction of an additional traffic stopping lane, and at the same time, the pavement shall be rehabilitated on the entire left and right carriageway, according to the abovementioned chainage.
In general, the works on reconstruction / widening include earth excavation, demolishing of the existing gutters, dismantling the safety guard rail, construction of improved sub-grade, construction of sub-base layer of crushed stone, construction of pavement (bituminous bearing layer and asphalt concrete layer), and the works on rehabilitation are consisted of removing asphalt layer, scraping, cutting, sealing active cracks, repair of shoulders and gutters, patching potholes, spraying of pavement with emulsion, applying new asphalt layers, cleaning of culverts and channels etc. This Project refers to the northern part of the Republic of North Macedonia.
