1. Funding Details
The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from/grant administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) towards the cost of the above named project.
Additional financing information:
In 2001 the Ignalina International Decommissioning Support Fund (IIDSF) was established and administered by the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). IIDSF funds and/or co-funds chosen technical decommissioning projects and energy sector measures which are important for the final closure of INPP.
State Enterprise Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant (hereafter INPP) intends to use Grants (subject to approval by the IIDSF Assembly of Contributors) from the Ignalina International Decommissioning Support Fund, administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development towards the cost of the PROJECT.
2. Information on the Project
Project Description:
The project will involve activities to support decommissioning at State Enterprise Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant. In particular this includes procurement of the engineering service to develop the dismantling design (including the safety justification), as well as to perform the dismantling and fragmentation, for the Drum-Separators (DS) and associated equipment located in the radiation and contamination-controlled zone of the INPP. It will also include separate procurement of FIDIC Engineer services to support implementation of the dismantlement, and any other activities, as necessary

3. Other Information
This General Procurement Notice is released to facilitate launch of the following procurement activities:
1. Lithuania: Dismantling of Steam Drum Separators in the Units 1 and 2 of Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant.
2. Consultancy Services for PMU performing the role of the FIDIC Engineer.

Contracts will be subject to the Bank's Procurement Policies and Rules and are open for participation for firms from any country, unless otherwise specified in the procurement documents.
Procurement under this project will be conducted using the EBRD Client E-Procurement Portal (ECEPP). On the 2nd March 2022, INPP has successfully hosted a virtual workshop for the launch of a new procurement activity ‘Dismantling of Steam Drum Separators in the Units 1 and 2 of Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant’ attracting a strong International response of more than 80 attendees representing 36 different companies from 13 different countries.
The virtual workshop enabled INPP to provide technical presentations on the scope of the new procurement ‘Dismantling of Steam Drum Separators in the Units 1 and 2 of Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant’, including animations and video film of real-life industrial conditions, radiological information including explanation of INPP radiation protection and safety measures, as well as recent health physics survey data of radiation and contamination levels associated with the project scope. Finally, an EBRD presentation explained the procurement and tendering steps required for the activity 'Dismantling of Steam Drum Separators in the Units 1 and 2 of Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant' which will be based on an Open Tender – 2 Stages. A Questions and Answer (Q&A) session concluded the virtual workshop and enabled the attendees to ask INPP questions in respect of this new project and any questions post the virtual workshop can still be submitted to INPP Project Manager Jurij Shapoval, email: Shapoval@iae.lt up until the close of business Wednesday 9th March 2022. INPP will respond to any questions received by this date and publish the answers on its website.
