General Procurement Notice

1. Funding Details

The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from/grant administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) towards the cost of the above named project.

Additional financing information:
To be confirmed. A senior corporate loan of up to EUR 300 million to Hrvatska Elektroprivreda (the “Company” or the “HEP”), a joint stock company established in Croatia and 100% owned by the Government of Croatia (“GoC”)

2. Information on the Project

Project Description:
The project is currently under preparation and the final scope of the project will be defined soon, however, as part of the scope of the project, HEP intends to implement:
i. The construction of 5 solar power plants across Croatia with total capacity of nearly 130 MW (the “RES Sub-project”) and estimated investment cost of EUR 101,5 million.

ii. The implementation of more than 400k of advanced smart meters with 5k data concentrators (the “Smart Metering Sub-project”), 12k multifunction industrial meters in LV substations and construction of more than 21.5k control measuring points, with estimated investment cost of EUR 63,1 million.
iii. The modernization and extension of the electricity distribution infrastructure via in length of more than 10,650 km (“Distribution Sub-project”), with estimated investment cost of EUR 52,6 million, as well as distribution transformers with an estimated cost of EUR 33,3 million.

The remaining amount is potentially reserved for contingencies, given the complexity of the project, the start and duration of the construction, delivery time of goods as well as the current situation in Ukraine.

Contracts will be subject to the Bank's Procurement Policies and Rules and are open for participation for firms from any country, unless otherwise specified in the procurement documents.
