General Procurement Notice

1. Funding Details

The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from/grant administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) towards the cost of the above named project.

Additional financing information:
Up to EUR 15.6 million sovereign loans to the Government of Kosovo, to be on-granted to RWCM, a state-owned water utility incorporated in Kosovo. The loan will co-finance an EIB sovereign loan of up to EUR 15.6 million.
The GoK has made an application to the WBIF for an investment grant of up to EUR 3 million.

2. Information on the Project

Project Description:
The proceeds of the loan will be used to co-finance: i) the construction of a WWTP with a capacity of 123,000 population equivalent in South Mitrovica, at an industrial area in the confluence of the Ibar and Sitnica rivers; planned for a potential later upgrade to nutrient removal, (ii) replacement, upgrading and new construction of urban sewers and interceptors in Mitrovica, (iii) replacement, upgrading and new construction of urban and rural sewers and interceptors in Vushtrri, including combined sewer overflow (CSO) and 12 km interceptor to connect Vushtrri with Mitrovica (the “Project”). In total 50.2 km interceptors will be constructed along the Ibar, the Llushta, the Sitnica and the Trepca rivers, preventing discharge of wastewater to these rivers and conveying all wastewater to the treatment plant.
