1. Funding Details

The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from/grant administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) towards the cost of the above named contract(s).

Additional financing information:
The contract will be financed by the EBRD Loan (The Borrower is: Arab Republic of Egypt, EBRD Loan Ref No.: 49417) and by an European Union (EU) Grant from the EU Neighbourhood Investment Programme (EU NIP). The Grant Recipient is: Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, EU Financing Agreement Ref No.: ENI/2017/040-293.


2. Information on the Procurement Exercise

3. Other Information
Dredging and cleaning for Kitchener main drain from km 46.700 to the outlet at the Mediterranean Sea and eight of its branch drains in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate, including Kitchener drain and its branches. The branches are Lower Samatay , Alhaj Youssof, Nemra (6), Bahr Albatala, Altashween, Alkomosuon Alomomy, Omar and Othman. The contract includes the following works:
i. earthworks for mechanically dredging drains using long arm excavators for quantity 391,768 m3
ii. earthworks for mechanically dredging drains and drainage pump station entrances (using excavators carried on floating barges) with quantity 1,695,525 m3
The planned contract duration is twelve (12) months.
