The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from/grant administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) towards the cost of the above named contract(s).

2. Information on the Procurement Exercise

Contracts will be subject to the Bank's Procurement Policies and Rules and are open for participation for firms from any country, unless otherwise specified in the procurement documents.

3. Other Information
The scope of work includes:
1. Dry pitching and concrete lining for 7.7km of Sabon Seify and Bahr Shershaba Part 3 Canal (Ganabya 3 ) Bahr Shershaba (C-Z-7) canals; Approximate quantity of pitching 41800 m3, and 14000 m3 of lining
2. Concrete upper toe parapet (fence) of lining in residential areas;
3. Construction of four Mesqa intakes including the steel gates;
4. More details about the specification, volume of works and principal quantities are set out in the BoQ and specification.
