1. Contract Details


Contract Title: 1908-1538 Egypt: Rehabilitation of canals, in the Zefta :- Omar Bek Part 1 canal (C-Z-1) length of 3.68 km. - Omar Bek Part 2 canal (C-Z-2) length of 0.95 km. - Sabon Niley canal (C-Z-3) length of 5.32 km.

Contract Description: Rehabilitation of the following canals, as a one lot, including the relevant infrastructure, in the Zefta area:
− Omar Bek Part 1 canal (Ganabyt Omar Bek EL ola) (C-Z-1) covering a length of 3.68 km.
− Omar Bek Part 2 canal (Ganabyt Omar Bek EL Tanya) (C-Z-2) covering a length of 0.95 km.
− Sabon Niley canal (C-Z-3) covering a length of 5.32 km.
The scope of work includes:
- Dry pitching and concrete lining of the canal of 9.95 km length;
- Concrete upper toe parapet (fence) of lining in residential areas;
- Construction of 9Mesqa intakes including the steel gates; and any other works assigned by the Employer.

The contract price is EGP 37,707,388.15 excluding taxes. Taxes values are as follows:

- 5% of the contract price which is equivalent to EGP 1,885,369.41, representing value added taxes VAT

- Approximately 9% of the contract price, which is equivalent to EGP 3,393,664.94, representing all other charges including social insurance, non-commercial and industrial occupation profit tax, stamp taxes, etc. However the final exact taxes deduction ratio will be identified based on the final payment certificate.
