1. Funding Details

The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from/grant administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) towards the cost of the above named project.

2. Information on the Project

Project Description:
Ukrposhta Joint Stock Company, a postal service operator 100 per cent owned by the Ukrainian Government, is seeking loan financing from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Investment Bank (EIB) to finance investments in (i) fleet modernisation to service rural areas (mobile postal offices) and (ii) development of modern automated sorting hubs in up to three Ukrainian regional cities (the Project).

The Project will enable critical investments in logistics infrastructure and fleet by Ukrposhta to ensure stable and uninterrupted provision of postal and social services to rural communities. The Project will support the Company’s operating model transformation, as well as will improve service quality and sustainability of Ukrposhta’s business and network. This, in turn, will ensure provision of modern delivery, financial and retail services to the Ukrainian population.

The financing for the Project, estimated to be EUR 93 million equivalent, will be provided in tranches. The Project will require procurement of the following remaining contracts to be financed out of the proceeds of EBRD and EIB loans:

- Assorted equipment, hardware and software for automated postal sorting hubs and regional sorting depots;
- Telemetry and terminal equipment: POS terminal ('3-in-1' device) for servicing transactions using electronic means of payment.

Procurement is subject to the EBRD Procurement Polices and Rules.

Contracts will be subject to the Bank's Procurement Policies and Rules and are open for participation for firms from any country, unless otherwise specified in the procurement documents.
