Contract Description: Rehabilitation in the Zefta area: a. Momtaz Canal (C-Z-14) length of 4.66 km. b. Second Ganbeya of Kafr Hegazy Canal (C-Z-15) length of 3.30 km. c. Mokhtar Canal (C-Z-16) length of 3.92 km. d. Houd Behira Canal (C-Z-17) length of 4.4 km
The scope of work includes:
1.Dry pitching and concrete lining for Momtaz Canal (C-Z-14) & Ganbeya Kafr Hegazy Canal (C-Z-15) & Mokhtar Canal (C-Z-16) & Houd Behira Canal (C-Z-17);
2.Supply and constructing a plain concrete parapet wall in residential areas;
3.Supply and construction of Mesqa intakes
4.Supply and installation of a steel gate for canal intake;
5.More details about the specification, volume of works and principal quantities are set out in the BoQ and specification.

3. Other Information
The contract price is 57,633,000 EGP [Fifty-seven million, six hundred and thirty-three thousand EGP excluding taxes. Taxes will be financed by the local fund. Taxes values are as follows:
- 5% of the contract price which is equivalent to 2,881,650 EGP (two million and eight hundred and eighty-one thousand, and six hundred and fifty Egyptian pounds, representing value added taxes VAT
- Approximately 5.6% of the contract price, which is equivalent to EGP 3,227,049.2 EGP (three million and two hundred and twenty-seven thousand, and forty-nine Egyptian pounds, and 20/100 of EGP), representing all other charges including social insurance etc, however, the final exact taxes deduction ratio will be identified based on the final payment certificate
Knowing that productive cooperative Associations are exempted from the commercial and industrial profit tax (1%), and stamp taxes (2.4%) according to Egyptian Laws.
