General Procurement Notice

1. Funding Details

The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from/grant administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) towards the cost of the above named project.

Additional financing information:
The project costs are financed from a sovereign loan of USD 7.0 million from the EBRD and a capital grant of up to EUR 6.26 million from the European Union, except for the Taxes which will be either financed from the state budget or the Client will arrange for their exemption.
Project Implementation Support and Corporate Development Programme consultancy assistance will be financed from the EBRD Shareholder Special Fund's grant of up to USD 1.5 million.

2. Information on the Project

Project Description:
The proposed project should increase Erdenet city's climate resilience, and improve access to quality drinking water through the extension of the water network. The Project requires procurement of the following outstanding goods, works and services for:
(i) rehabilitation and construction of flood protection dams and channels;
(ii) rehabilitation and expansion of the water supply network to ger area in Erdenet,
(iii) supply of water meters, leak detection and other equipment, and
(iv) Project Implementation Unit specialists.

3. Other Information

Contracts will be subject to the Bank's Procurement Policies and Rules and are open for participation for firms from any country, unless otherwise specified in the procurement documents.

Procurement under this project will be conducted using the EBRD Client E-Procurement Portal (ECEPP).
