General Procurement Notice

1. Funding Details

The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from/grant administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) towards the cost of the above named project.

Additional financing information:
(i) a sovereign loan of up to EUR 8 million to the Kyrgyz Republic to be on-lent to KTJ,
(ii) capex grant of EUR 3 million to be financed from the SSF,
(iii) capex component co-financing of EUR 1 million by KTJ and
(iv) EUR 529,500 post-signing TC from the SSF

2. Information on the Project

Project Description:
The operation will enable the KTJ to increase the sustainability of the rail infrastructure by enhancing the rail network climate resilience of the Boom Gorge section and upgrading its rolling stock to enhance the operational efficiency.

Contracts will be subject to the Bank's Procurement Policies and Rules and are open for participation for firms from any country, unless otherwise specified in the procurement documents.
