1. Funding Details

The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from/grant administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) towards the cost of the above named project.

Additional financing information:
The project will be funded by an EBRD loan and a grant managed by the Bank. In addition, the Client will contribute to pay all applicable taxes (including VAT).

2. Information on the Project

Project Description:
The project aims to finance the acquisition of container-handling equipment (such as cranes and reach-stackers) and related infrastructure. The Project will help the Company to increase the container handling capacity by establishing a second technological line for transhipment of heavy and containerized cargo thereby addressing some of the key infrastructure and operational bottlenecks along the Middle Corridor.

3. Other Information

The following Goods, Works, and Consultancy Services are planned to be procured under the Project:
Contract 1: Design and Build Contract for the reconstruction of Berths No. 3 and No. 12 at the address: Mangistau Region, Aktau, Industrial Zone No. 7, plot 43;
Contract 2: Goods and Associated Services Contract for the procurement and installation of cargo handling equipment and machinery;
Contract 3: Consultancy Services Contract for Construction Supervision and Project Implementation Support, a contract for the provision of technical supervision services for the reconstruction of Berths No. 3 and No. 12 in Industrial Zone No. 7, plot 43, Aktau, Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the provision of project implementation support to ensure its proper execution and full compliance with international standards and the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Contracts will be subject to the Bank's Procurement Policies and Rules (edition 15 May 2022) and are open for participation for firms from any country, unless otherwise specified in the procurement documents.
Procurement under this project will be conducted using the EBRD Client E-Procurement Portal (ECEPP). If you intend to participate in any procurement under this project, please ensure that you have registered in ECEPP (https://ecepp.ebrd.com). Registered entities will be notified directly when any procurement opportunities are published.
