General Procurement Notice

1. Funding Details

The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from/grant administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) towards the cost of the above named project.

Additional financing information:
A loan of up to EUR 70 million for introduction of a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) in the City of Skopje. The loan will be provided in two tranches: EUR 40 million for Route 1 (Tranche 1), and EUR 30 million for Route 2 (Tranche 2). Loan proceeds will be used to finance alignment, systems, ticketing, depot and bus fleet for a dedicated bus line system.

2. Information on the Project

Project Description:
Development of the BRT system in Skopje in two phases including development of two BRT lines, construction of a new bus depo and upgrade of an existing one, procurement of low-floor BRT vehicles and upgrade of the ticketing, bus information and traffic control systems.

Contracts will be subject to the Bank's Procurement Policies and Rules and are open for participation for firms from any country, unless otherwise specified in the procurement documents.
