1. Funding Details

The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from/grant administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) towards the cost of the above named project.

2. Information on the Project

Project Description:
A sovereign loan of up to EUR 170m, consisting of two tranches as follows: (i) a committed first tranche of up to EUR 63.75m and (ii) an uncommitted second tranche of up to EUR 106.25m in favour of the Arab Republic of Egypt (the “Borrower”) for the benefit of the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (“EETC” or the “Company”), the transmission system and market operator in Egypt.

Contracts will be subject to the Bank's Procurement Policies and Rules and are open for participation for firms from any country, unless otherwise specified in the procurement documents.

Procurement under this project will be conducted using the EBRD Client E-Procurement Portal (ECEPP). If you intend to participate in any procurement under this project, please ensure that you have registered in ECEPP (https://ecepp.ebrd.com). Registered entities will be notified directly when any procurement opportunities are published.

Procurement includes two tendering processes:

1. Construction of New 500 KV Cairo Substation, and

2. Construction of Ektsadiya Overhead transmission Line 500 KV.
