2. Information on the Project

Project Description:
Rehabilitation of an estimated 30 km road section ("Balbay Batyr-Karakol"). The section is part of a 440 km long Issyk-Kul Lake ring-road programme, which is a priority project for the Kyrgyz government and is supported by a number of IFIs, including Saudi Development Fund, Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, Abu-Dhabi Fund for Development, OPEC Fund for International Development and Islamic Development Bank. In addition, Asian Development Bank is requested to finance the Karakol-Barskoon section.
