General Procurement Notice

1. Funding Details

The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from/grant administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) towards the cost of the above named project.

Additional financing information:
Joint stock company "Ukrainian railways" applied for the loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) in the amount of 180 million euros for the implementation of the project, the purpose of which is to finance urgent procurement costs (supply and installation) equipment for small-scale gas power generation with a total capacity of up to 270 MW

To finance the project, it is expected to attract an investment grant in the amount of up to 10 million pounds sterling from the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, which is provided through the Ukrainian Energy Support Fund, and it is also expected to attract funds on a grant basis in the amount of up to 56 million euros


2. Information on the Project

Project Description:
The Project covers installation of up to 270 MW gas-fired generation capacity at selected existing UZ's sites across Ukraine, helping to address the electricity deficit around those locations and to ensure uninterrupted energy supply to the population and businesses.

3. Other Information

Contracts will be subject to the Bank's Procurement Policies and Rules and are open for participation for firms from any country, unless otherwise specified in the procurement documents.

Procurement under this project will be conducted using the EBRD Client E-Procurement Portal (ECEPP).
