General Procurement Notice

1. Funding Details

The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from/grant administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) towards the cost of the above named project.

Additional financing information:
The loan will consist of two tranches: Tranche 1 of up to USD 160 million (committed) and Tranche 2 of up to USD 90 million (uncommitted).

2. Information on the Project

Project Description:
The EBRD financing will be provided to the Republic of Uzbekistan to finance the Project’s Priority Investment Programme capex for modernisation of 110 pumping stations used for irrigation water conveyance (IWC) in ten regions of the country. This is a follow-on sovereign transaction representing second phase of Water Supply Energy Efficiency Project (Phase I).

The Project is expected to require procurement of the following goods, works and services:
- reconstruction of pump stations in 8 provinces of Uzbekistan;
- reconstruction of modular pump stations and pump stations with vertical pumps in 5 provinces of Uzbekistan;
- consultancy services for Project implementation support and contracts supervision.

3. Other Information

Contracts will be subject to the Bank's Procurement Policies and Rules and are open for participation for firms from any country, unless otherwise specified in the procurement documents.
