Tender/Contract Reference No: 3797324: Optical Loop: Lot 1 Supply and Installation Optical Ground Wire (OPWG)

Scope Of Contract: The scope of this specification includes design, engineering, manufacturing, testing, documentation, supply of OPGW and associated hardware and fittings and in-line splices (Joint Boxes), loading, transportation, unloading, transportation insurance and delivery at site and erection of the same on the existing overhead lines by replacing the existing earth wire.

The new OPGW will be deployed on some of the existing ground wires of the overhead transmission lines (OHTL) at 110 kV voltage level of the electricity grid of AD MEPSO. The main objectives are to extend the existing telecommunication system which will ensure its higher quality, will enable cost savings by reducing rented capacities from telecommunication operators and will ensure sustainable development of regional power supply market of South-Eastern Europe.

Duration of Contract: 18 months
