The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from, or Grant administered by, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development ('the Bank') for the above named project. Additional financing details are as follows:

Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from/ grant administered by the Bank and will be open to firms from any country.
The client now invites tenders for the above mentioned contract(s). Additional description is as follows:
Procurement of 15 (fifteen) new low-floor electric busesand 6 (six) charging stations
This Invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice for this project which was published on the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) website, Procurement Notices (www.ebrd.com) on 10.08.2017.
Sofia Electrical Transport Company EAD hereinafter referred to as “the Purchaser”, intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from the Bank towards for a project to procure fully electric buses and charging infrastructure
The Purchaser now invites tenders from Suppliers submitted through ECEPP (EBRD Client E-Procurement Portal - https://ecepp.ebrd.com) for the following Contract to be funded from part of the proceeds of the loan:
Procurement of 15 (fifteen) new low-floor electric buses and 6 (six) charging stations
Apart from the above the following items are also procured under the same tender:
• Diagnostic equipment and specialized tools for maintenance and repair of electric buses and charging stations
• Provision of technical documentation for electric buses and charging stations
• Training of personnel who will operate, maintain, diagnose and repair electric buses and charging stations
• Optional: 15 (fifteen) new low-floor electric buses and 6 (six) charging stations
The electric buses must be in accordance with EU Directive 2001/85/CE. The electric bus and all of its components should comply with EU Type Approval Directives and other applicable Regulations for electric buses; with UNECE Regulation 36 for large passenger transport vehicles; and with all applicable requirements of the normative technical standards of the Republic of Bulgaria.
Tendering for contracts that are to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank is open to firms from any country.
The contract is expected to start on 31/10/2018 and last about 18 months.

The proceeds of the loan from/ grant administered by the Bank will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law or official regulation of the Client's country.
Prospective tenderers who have registered in ECEPP and expressed an interest in the tender may access the tender documents free of charge and may request clarification and further information from the client through ECEPP.
