General Procurement Notice

The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from, or Grant administered by, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development ('the Bank') for the above named project. Additional financing details are as follows:

The proposed project, which has a total estimated cost of 100,750,000.00 EUR, will require the procurement of the following:

• INVITATION FOR PROJECT PRESENTATION
  
  Calea Ferata din Moldova (CFM, Moldovan Railways) intends using part of the proceeds of the above mentioned loans from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Investment Bank for a project to conduct rehabilitation of ca 250 km railway section Bender-Basarabeasca-Etulia-Giurgiulesti.
  
  Tendering for this railway section infrastructure rehabilitation is planned to be based on Design and Built by the Contractor arrangements and is expected to start in Q3 of 2018.
  
  CFM hereby invites the interested companies who are qualified in the design and built of such works to attend a project presentation at which CFM is going to present the procurement and implementation strategy and collect the views of the prospective tenderers.
  
  The presentation is planned for 8:00 on 20th June 2018 in CFM premises. The site visit is planned to start immediately after the presentation.
  
  The railway inspection will be done going firstly on the route Chisinau-Bender-Basarabeasca-Etulia on the CFM's autonomous railway car, then by road to Giurgiulesti station, bypassing the territory of Ukraine (please note you need to be prepared for passport control procedure and have all necessary visas). The site visit will start from the Chisinau Central Railway Station, the attendants have to arrange their own transport to get there from CFM office.
  
  The presentation and further communication will be delivered in English language with the translation to Russian.

Tendering for the above contracts is expected to begin on 15/08/2018.

Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from/ grant administered by the Bank will be open to firms from any country.


The proceeds of the loan from, or Grant administered by, the Bank will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, of for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law or official regulation of the Client's country.
