Invitation For Tenders Single

The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from, or Grant administered by, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development ('the Bank') for the above named project. Additional financing details are as follows:

AD MEPSO, The Employer has received a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) and a grant money provided by Western Balkans Investment Framework and Luxemburg towards the cost of the project. Parts of these funds will be directed to the design, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning of 400 kV OHTL from 400/110 kV SS Bitola 2, trough 400/110 kV SS Ohrid to Macedonian/Albanian border


Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from/ grant administered by the Bank and will be open to firms from any country.


The client now invites tenders for the above mentioned contract(s). Additional description is as follows:

Contract to be funded from part of the proceeds of the loan: MEPSO: Macedonia - Albania Transmission Phase 1, that is related to: construction of 400 kV OHTL from 400/110 kV SS Bitola 2, trough 400/110 kV SS Ohrid to Macedonian/Albanian border, which includes detail design, manufacturing, delivery, installation, construction, testing, commissioning and defects liability for 400 kV OHTL "400/110 kV SS Bitola 2 - MK/AL border", 2x110 kV OHTL "400/110 kV SS Ohrid – Chesho Glava", 110 kV single circuit in-out connection with the existing "110 kV OHTL 110/10 kV SS Struga – 110/10 kV SS Ohrid", supply of spare parts and special tools, complete in each respect at turnkey basis, as detailed and specified in the Tender Documents

The contract is expected to start on 20/12/2019 and last about 30 months.

This tender will be conducted by e-procurement using the EBRD Client E-Procurement Portal (ECEPP). The proceeds of the loan from/ grant administered by the Bank will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law or official regulation of the Client's country.
