3. Other Information
The objective of this assigment is to assist the City in developing and adopting a new bus network and any related measures to ensure operational efficiency and enable competitive tendering for future bus routes. The study shall cover the following key aspects: (i) review of public transport sector and bus operations; (ii) demand study and preparation of the new bus network plan, including definition of bus priority lanes measures and an implementation plan; (iii) operational strategy, investment plan and funding mechanisms; (iv) institutional and regulatory framework for Skopje public transport including existing tariff and ticketing system. With support from the Company, the City and the Bank as required, the Consultant shall liaise with the consultants working on the related assignments, such as preparation of a PSC between the public operator JSP and the City and development of the related corporate development programme, to ensure effective implementation and monitoring of services provided under the PSC.
