The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from/grant administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) towards the cost of the above named project.

2. Information on the Project

Project Description:
The Public Joint Stock Company “Ukrainian Railways” has received loans from the European Investment Bank (EIB) and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The proceeds of the loans are intended to be used for the Ukraine Railway Modernization / UZ Electrification project which will involve the electrification of section Dolynska-Mykolaiv-Kolosivka with the necessary high voltage network development. The proposed project, which has a total estimated cost of EUR 360 million equivalent, will be jointly financed by the EIB, the EBRD and the Client and will require the procurement of the following goods, works and services:
Phase 1:
• Electrification of the railway section Dolynska-Mykolaiv (including construction of a new railway tracks of about 99.2 km with upgrade of tracks in 12 stations);
• Development of the high voltage network (including supplying future catenary system and related high voltage substations) for the sections to be electrified;

Phase 2:
• Electrification of the railway section Kolosivka-Mykolaiv (Length of single tracks to be electrified: 105.0 km);

The Project will also require consultancy services for the "Support with Implementation of the Energy Efficiency Programme"

Contracts will be subject to the Bank's Procurement Policies and Rules and are open for participation for firms from any country, unless otherwise specified in the procurement documents.
