Invitation For Tenders Single

The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from, or Grant administered by, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development ('the Bank') for the above named project. Additional financing details are as follows:

The Project will be 100% EBRD loan funded.


Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from/ grant administered by the Bank and will be open to firms from any country.


The client now invites tenders for the above mentioned contract(s). Additional description is as follows:

Bosnia and Herzegovina (the Borrower) has signed a loan agreements with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) for financing of the Sarajevo Water Project (SWP.) The Project will be implemented by the Cantonal Public Water Utility Company KJKP Vodovod i Kanalizacija d.o.o. Sarajevo (the Employer). The first tranche of the loan amounts to 10 mil. EUR and the Employer intends to apply the proceeds of this loan toward the cost of goods, civil works and consulting services, to be procured for the SWP.

Contracts will be subject to the Bank's Procurement Policies and Rules.

The Employer now invites sealed tenders from contractors for the following contract to be funded from part of the proceeds of the loan:

Contract No.2: Reconstruction of pumping stations and installation of metering and control equipment toward Sarajevo Water Supply Project Ref: ViK - 02/2019

The pumping stations requiring major reconstruction and overhaul are:

- Pumping station Bacevo;
- Pumping station Center;
- Pumping station Alipasin Most.

All three pumping stations mentioned are of the great significance for the water supply network of Sarajevo.
Subject of consulting services for supervision of works will include: supervision of construction (reconstruction/extension), assembly works, hydro-mechanical works (replacement / installation of new pump aggregates with associated hydrometer components), electrical works (reconstruction of 10 - 20 kV power units and transmission lines, electric motor divisions and remote control and management systems) and commissioning. During the execution of works, the Employer and the Contractor must ensure continuous supply of drinking water, with only shorter interruptions in supply, meaning only a few hours daily.

In addition to the Pumping Stations, on existing water pipelines, for the purpose of continuous monitoring and control of water flow, the plan is to construct the relevant shafts and to install the necessary armature and the necessary fitting pieces. The shafts will be constructed at the following locations:

- Monitoring shaft at the crossing of Marsala Tita and Hamze Hum streets.
- Flow/pressure monitoring and control shaft at the Baruthana street.
- Flow/pressure monitoring and control shaft at the Grlicica brdo street.

The procurement procedure to be applied is an Open tendering - single stage procedure.

The works contract is expected to be awarded and start in Q1 of 2019.

The contract is expected to start on 28/02/2019 and last about 6 months, with Defects Notification Period of 24 months.

The proceeds of the loan from/ grant administered by the Bank will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law or official regulation of the Client's country.
