The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from, or Grant administered by, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development ('the Bank') for the above named project. Additional financing details are as follows:

This contract, except for Taxes, is expected to be financed with the proceeds of the EBRD's loan.


Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from/ grant administered by the Bank and will be open to firms from any country.


The client now invites tenders for the above mentioned contract(s). Additional description is as follows:

The scope of the works consist amongst other of reconstruction of road pavement, demolishing and construction of culverts, construction of drainage facilities, relocation of utility lines, etc. Rehabilitation work is expected to follow the existing road alignment, with the possible exception of limited realignments to improve geometric characteristics, eliminate safety hazards, or avoid areas subject to severe soil erosion. Slight realignment is foreseen to improve the road safety including the construction of a climbing lane according to the drawings. The main intersections will be reconstructed as roundabouts for road safety improvement.
The works are divided into two lots, which are to be performed concurrently.

The contract is expected to start on 03/02/2020 and last about 915 days followed by one year DNP.

Tenderers may bid for a maximum of 2 lots.

Description: Rehabilitation works on R34 Hincesti-Leova-Cahul Road, km 42+200 -km 83+000

The proceeds of the loan from/ grant administered by the Bank will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law or official regulation of the Client's country.

Other Information:Tenderers may submit tenders for one or both lots. Each lot must be priced separately. Tenders for more than one lot may offer unconditional discounts and such discounts will be considered in the comparison of tenders.
