General Procurement Notice

The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from, or Grant administered by, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development ('the Bank') for the above named project. Additional financing details are as follows:

a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank), Grant administered by the Bank, Co-financed
Mailia Suu Vodokanal Municipal Enterprise (water company) of the City of Maili Suu intends using the proceeds of loans from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and European Investment Bank (EIB) and grant from European Union’s Investment Facility for Central Asia (EU IFCA), administered by EBRD.

The proposed project, which has a total estimated cost of 7,100,000.00 EUR, will require the procurement of the following:

• The proposed investment programme, which has a total estimated cost of EUR 7.1 million equivalent, will require the procurement of the following goods, works and services:
  •Supply of water meters, leak detection and laboratory equipment, valves, fire hydrant, pumps, generator, chlorination & disinfection equipment and chemicals
  •System survey and update
  •Rehabilitation of water sources and water treatment plant
  •Rehabilitation of water distribution networks
  •Construction of sewers
  •Supply of operation and maintenance equipment/machinery.
  

Tendering for the above contracts is expected to begin on 19/04/2019.

Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from/ grant administered by the Bank will be open to firms from any country.


The proceeds of the loan from, or Grant administered by, the Bank will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, of for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law or official regulation of the Client's country.

Tendering for this project will be conducted by e-procurement using the EBRD Client E-Procurement Portal (ECEPP). Prospective participants who have registered in ECEPP and expressed an interest in the contract may access the documents and may request clarification and further information from the client through ECEPP.
