Scope Of Contract: The main objective of the assignment is for the Consultant to assist the Client in the administration of the Bank-funded works contracts (hereinafter also referred to as the Contract), carry out the duties of the Engineer assigned to him in the works contracts and to undertake the role of the Engineer; as defined in the FIDIC RED Conditions of Contract as well as to ensure the Independent Construction Supervision in accordance with the legal provisions in this field.

More specifically, the scope of the consultancy assignment will include but will not be limited to the following:

i) to ensure that high quality construction is achieved and that all works are carried out in full compliance with the design, specifications and other civil works contract documents;
ii) to ensure the timely completion of the civil works;
iii) to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and legislation, including the management of environmental plans;
iv) coordinating the activities of all contract stakeholders;
v) sign off on payment certificates, variations, addenda and claims;
v) preparing monthly, final and additional reports as per Client's requirements;
vi) Provide review of currently missing project documentation but which will be provided by selected constructor of work afterwards; and
vii)The consultant will be implementing all activities in accordance with relevant Turkish laws.
