Invitation For Tenders Single

The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from, or Grant administered by, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development ('the Bank') for the above named project. Additional financing details are as follows:

Grant administered by the Bank, from Client's own funds towards the cost of the above named project.
The project will be financed 70 % by KIDSF and 30 % by ESO EAD.


Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from/ grant administered by the Bank and will be open to firms from any country.


The client now invites tenders for the above mentioned contract(s). Additional description is as follows:

The new 400 kV overhead power transmission line (OHTL) between substation Maritsa Iztok and substation Plovdiv will be built on an approved route with effective Detailed Development Plan according to Order No РД-02-15-35/11.04.2017 issued by the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works of Bulgaria. The route starts from tower 445A of existent 400 kV Vezhen double circuit OHTL and ends at the line gantry tower of substation Maritsa Iztok. Connectivity between both end substations will be provided using the unoccupied conductor triad of 400 kV Vezhen double circuit OHTL in the section between towers 445A and 453A (substation Plovdiv).
The scope to be performed by the Contractor under the Contract shall comprise the manufacture, factory testing, packing, transportation, insurance, unloading, storage on site, construction works, erection, anticorrosion protection, on-site testing, submission of documentation, commissioning, defect notification period and warranty period services of the new 400 kV Power Line between TPP Maritsa Iztok 2 (substation Maritsa Iztok) and substation Plovdiv.

The contract is expected to start on 01/11/2019 and last about 860 days .

The proceeds of the loan from/ grant administered by the Bank will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law or official regulation of the Client's country.
