General Procurement Notice

The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from, or Grant administered by, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development ('the Bank') for the above named project. Additional financing details are as follows:

a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank)
EBRD Loan funds


The proposed project, which has a total estimated cost of 15,000,000.00 EUR, will require the procurement of the following:

  • The Sarajevo Canton has applied for loan at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development which shall be used for Sarajevo Public Transport consisting of renewal of trolleybus and minibus fleet. The Project is intended to increase the quality of service of public transport, thus attracting commuters and tourists to switch to public transport from passenger cars and taxis. The positive effects of the Project would be further extended to reduction of traffic congestion and air pollution which is becoming more severe each year. The proposed project, which has a total estimated cost of EUR 15.0 million, will finance the procurement of 25 new 18-metre articulated electric trolleybuses.


Tendering for the above contracts is expected to begin on 31/07/2019.

Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from/ grant administered by the Bank will be open to firms from any country.


The proceeds of the loan from, or Grant administered by, the Bank will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, of for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law or official regulation of the Client's country.

Tendering for this project will be conducted by e-procurement using the EBRD Client E-Procurement Portal (ECEPP).
