2. Information on the Procurement Exercise

3. Other Information
West Irbid Project Area is in Irbid Governorate, north of Jordan, about 83 km north of the capital Amman.
The project covers 17 towns within municipalities of West Irbid , part of Natfeh (un sewered part), Kufr Yuba, Zahar, Jumhaa, Ham, Bayt Yafa, Soum (un sewered part), Jijin, Doughara, and Kufr Rahta, and Al Wastia Municipality namely Kufr Asad, Qumm, Qumaym, Kufr An, Saydour, Hofa Wastia, Kharaj and Greater Irbid Municipality for part of Natfeh village.
The wastewater system consists of 7 pumping stations, Wastewater Treatment Plant, two Siphons, gravity pipeline including: Corrugated HDPE/ pipelines of about 450 km, ranging in diameter between 200mm and 600mm, DI pipelines with 200mm to 600 mm nominal diameter, steel pipeline with 200mm nominal diameter; 8km of DI force mains ranging in between 150 and 300 mm; and approximately 67 km of house connections with a 130 mm HDPE pipes, in accordance with Contract specifications and EN Standards.
The Project is divided into Seven (7) Lots /packages, in which five (5) lots (lot (1-5) include only wastewater networks, one lot consists of 4 pumping stations and force mains, and one lot consists of 3 pumping stations and force mains in addition to wastewater networks for three out of the 17 towns. The flow of the project will be discharged to a proposed wastewater treatment plant via two siphons which will be implemented under a separate contract.
The Contractor shall provide all Plants, equipment, Materials, labours required for completion of the Works in accordance with the Contract Documents and the approved Programme and to carry out the commissioning.
The Contractor shall use the products having the highest quality in market subject to the prior approval of the Engineer.
The scope of work under this Package comprises Supply, Installation, Testing, Start-Up and commissioning of new gravity sewer networks of corrugated HDPE ranging between 200 mm to 300 mm pipelines with its associated manholes and steel pipes of 200 mm in diameter, for the Towns of Soum and Kufr Youba.
